Who we are

RetailQueue is operated by TRUSTED MEDIA LIMITED (company number 08153782), registered at 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, United Kingdom WC1N 3AX. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Data we collect

We collect different data depending on how you use us:

  • Shop/staff accounts: name, email address, and authentication data when you sign up or log in.
  • Queue and booking visitors:name, mobile number, and optional details (party size, notes, service selection) when you join a queue or book an appointment via a shop's QR code or link.
  • Marketing consent: if you opt in to marketing messages, we store the exact consent text shown at the time, the timestamp, and your withdrawal date if you later opt out.
  • Usage data: standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically when you use our website or dashboard.

How we use your data

  • To operate the queue, booking, and notification service you or a shop you're visiting has requested.
  • To send transactional notifications (WhatsApp, SMS, push, or voice call) about your queue position or appointment.
  • To send marketing messages, but only where you have given explicit, versioned opt-in consent, and only from the specific shop you opted in with.
  • To provide shop owners with analytics and reporting about queue and appointment activity at their own locations.
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and improvement of the platform.

Who we share it with

We share data with service providers who help us run the platform, under contractual terms that restrict them to processing it only on our instructions:

  • Messaging providers (for WhatsApp, SMS, and voice call delivery).
  • Our realtime infrastructure provider (for live queue position updates).
  • Our payments provider (for shop subscription billing — this does not include your data as a queue or booking visitor).
  • Cloud hosting and database providers.

We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Queue and booking data is retained for as long as the shop's account is active, plus a limited period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. Marketing consent records are retained for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance, even after you withdraw consent, alongside a record of the withdrawal itself.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time via the link in any marketing message, or by contacting us directly.
